Aaron Siskind's photography is simply amazing. I think the way that the images are cropped creates an interesting dynamic in such a small area. The photograph becomes more like a painting. A fragmented view of commonplaces.

 

Ellensburg

I took advantage of the random sunshine we had yesterday as well as today. I even had the chance to edit all the images. Now, I just need to sort through them and eliminate some because I gathered about 80 that I "like".

Paper

I finally figured out what paper to use!! Yay!!!!! I'm thinking the Arista-II Legacy Series Velvet Cold Press 300gsm 24"x36".

Presentation

 I started thinking more about how to present my prints. So, I began looking for kind of nontraditional ways to approach this since I would rather not frame them. Then I found this article, which suggests using wooden pant hangers. I think that if I were to use this paper, it could enhance the natural edges of the paper. The other possibility would be to use clips on a wire like this article suggests. I probably wouldn't grid the prints since they are going to be rather large, 22'' x 30''.
